FREE 8 Week After-School Program

Active Outdoor Kids (AOK) has been created to provide active recreation opportunities for 7-17 year olds to promote community wellbeing and future disaster resilience following the compounding disasters of the 2019 bushfires, COVID and 2022 floods.

 

The program is currently taking place in 12 regional communities across the Greater Sydney, North Coast, and Hunter regions in partnership with local businesses and organisations.

 

Programs offer active outdoor recreation programs for young people tailored in each location to meet the needs of the local community.

 

Tiebreak Tennis Academy has been selected as the delivery partner in the Bellingen/Nambucca Region. 

ABOUT THE PROGRAM

Focusing on developing resilience through trying new activities and developing skills. Each session will be a progression of technical and tactical development.

 

For beginners & intermediate

 

3 Tennis court-based activities:

  • Stroke correction & analysis
  • Rally-based play and point structure
  • Game and match play, doubles and team-based game play                           

1 Multi-sport court:

  • 4 Different modified sports on rotation
  • soccer, hockey/floor ball, rugby/touch football, AFL
  • basic skills (passing, dribbling, shooting etc),
  • Rule structure and modified game play
