for Outdoor Women
Open to all women who participate in the Outdoor Industry, or want to, this program has been created by Outdoors NSW & ACT to help Women in the Outdoors flourish in their career and be thought leaders in progressing the industry into a better state for future generations.
Your Program Manager is Ky Furneaux, world leading adventurer, TV personality and
ex-stunt women from LA.
She will guide each participant through a leadership journey that will empower you to do great things in your career in the Outdoors!

How does the program work?
You can self-apply or an employer can apply for their staff to be part of the program.
The applicant will then be assessed as suitable for the program and then matched with a mentor that will compliment their skill gap areas. This mentor will help them along the journey outside of the main content of the program.
The applicant becomes a "Pinnacle Participant" in the Pinnacle Leadership Program. Once they have passed all modules in the 9 months, they will then be known as a "Pinnacle Leader".
Participants will be required to attend a webinar on each module and look at extra material to extend the learning. The Participant will then need to submit a video, audio or written article on their learning. The team will be here to guide and assist and to help them become the leaders they want to be. If you can not attend a webinar it will be the participants' responsibility to watch the recording at their own time to get across the content enough to submit their assessment for that module.

What will you cover in the progam?
The program covers the following topics. Each will have a webinar specific to the content, and you will have extra items to review in your own time, with or without your mentor. You will be required to show your competence in each area to assess you as complete.

Specialists will also be helping each Participant
This program will also be introducing you to specialists in various modules as guest speakers in the webinars. Extending your network and learning. As well, every participant will be matched with a woman leader as a mentor.... they maybe from the Outdoor Industry or another.

The 2026-2027 Cohort will open for applications in June 2026. The program will commence in September 2026 and conclude June 2027.
How do I apply?
This program has been valued at $5,698 per participant, but with thanks to the NSW Government, the participation cost has been substantially reduced.

Please note that the following fees apply for the whole program:
Members of Outdoors NSW & ACT pay $220 plus gst and $14.90 for postage and handling.
Non Members of Outdoors NSW & ACT pay $350 plus gst and $14.90 for postage and handling
Members can also go on a payment plan of $25 per month over 10 months to increase affordability to the program.
Program Outline

Ideal for women that wish to progress their career in the Outdoor Industry
Content helps to provide the leadership qualities that suit Senior and Executive Management roles

Duration is 9 months
Commencement is August - concludes in May (January no session), with graduation in September 2027

Commitment is 1.5 - 2 hours per week
This involves reading, assignments and working with the mentor

Fees are $265 for ONSWACT Members*
* add 30% for non members

Delivery is online with a face-face graduation
Content is presented once a month, networking sessions are once a month and the graduation will be held in September 2027.

Study Pathways can lead to tertiary leadership and executive management opportunities
Depending on the participants desired outcome, further studies can help to progress opportunities.
