for Outdoor Women
Open to all women who participate in the Outdoor Industry or want to, this program has been created by Outdoors NSW & ACT to help Women in the Outdoors flourish in their career and be thought leaders in progressing the industry into a better state for future generations.
Your Program Manager is Ky Furneaux, world leading adventurer, TV personality and
ex-stunt women from LA.
She will guide each participant through a leadership journey that will empower you to do great things in your career in the Outdoors!

How does the program work?
You can self-apply or an employer can apply for their staff to be part of the program.
The applicant will then be assessed as suitable for the program and then matched with a mentor that will compliment their skill gap areas. This mentor will help them along the journey outside of the main content of the program.
At this stage, the applicant becomes a "Pinnacle Participant" in the Pinnacle Leadership Program. Once they have passed all modules in the 9 months they will then be known as a "Pinnacle Leader".
Participants in the 2024-2025 Program will be part of the 25 Cohort.
Participants will be required to attend a webinar on each module and look at extra material to extend the learning. The Participant will then need to submit a video, audio or written article on their learnings. The team will be here to guide and assist and to help them become the leaders they want to be. If you can not attend a webinar it will be the particpants responsibility to watch the recording at their own time to be across the content enough to submit their assessment for that module.
The graduation will be held at the Outdoor Industry Summit in Canberra on the 11 July 2025.
What will you cover in the progam?
The program covers the following topics. Each will have a webinar specific to the content, and you will have extra items to review in your own time with or without your mentor. You will be required to show your competence in each area after the learning area to assess you as complete.

3. Building Confidence and Resilience
4. Mentoring and Networking
5. Personal Branding and Visability
6. Diversity and Inclusion
7. Empowering and Inspiring Others
8. Understanding the Outdoor Industry
Specialists will also be helping each Participant
This program will also be introducing you to specialists in various modules as guest speakers in the webinars. Extending your network and learning. As well, every participant will be matched with a woman leader as a mentor.... they maybe from the Outdoor Industry or another.
When does it start and finish?
THE 2024-2025 program is now closed
The 2025-2026 Cohort will open for applications in June 2025.
How do I apply?
This program has been valued at $5,698 per participant, but with thanks to the NSW Government, Paddy Palin and the ACT Government, the participation cost has been substantially reduced.

Please note that the following fees apply for the whole program:
Members of Outdoors NSW & ACT pay $159 plus gst and $14.45 for postage and handling, a total of $189.35
Non Members of Outdoors NSW & ACT pay $280 plus gst and $14.45 for postage and handling, a total of $322.45
